Support for Ottawa homes & small businesses

Start with what
is not working.

You do not need to diagnose the problem first. Tell us what you notice, which device is involved, and what you were trying to do. We will reply with the simplest useful next step.

A calmer support experience

Simple from first message
to problem solved.

There should be no mystery around your tech support. You will always know what we are looking at, what we recommend, and what happens next.

Start with your problem
  1. 01

    Tell us what is happening

Share the symptoms, the device involved, and how the issue is getting in your way.

  2. 02

Choose the best way to help

We will recommend remote, in-home, or on-site support based on the problem.

  3. 03

    Approve the plan

You get a clear scope before work starts. If anything changes, we check with you first.

  4. 04

    Get it fixed—and understand it

We test the result, explain what changed, and leave you with useful next steps.

Your privacy matters

You stay in control.

  • 01 You enter your own passwords whenever possible.
  • 02 Remote access starts only with your approval and ends after the session.
  • 03 Work affecting your data is explained before it begins.
  • 04 No added work or charges without your go-ahead.

Wherever you are

Before you request support

Questions are
always welcome.

Not sure whether your issue can be fixed remotely, or even how to describe it? That is completely fine. Start with what you notice.

Tell us about your issue
What kinds of technology do you support?

We help with common Windows and Mac computers, phones, tablets, printers, Wi-Fi, email, smart-home devices, accounts, backups, and small-business tools. If your issue falls outside our scope, we will say so clearly and point you toward the right kind of help when we can.

Can you help remotely?

Often, yes. Software, account, email, setup, and many troubleshooting issues can be handled by phone or a secure screen-share. Problems involving cabling, Wi-Fi coverage, hardware, or several connected devices are usually better handled in person.

Do I need to know what is wrong before I request help?

Not at all. Tell us what you are seeing, when it started, and what you were trying to do. Diagnosing the underlying cause is part of the support process.

Will you need my passwords?

Whenever possible, you enter passwords yourself. Please never send passwords, banking details, verification codes, or other sensitive information through the request form or email.

Do you support small businesses?

Yes. LP Tech is a good fit for small teams that need practical, occasional support without a large managed-IT agreement. We can help with device setup, user accounts, shared files, connectivity, backups, security basics, and day-to-day troubleshooting.

How does pricing work?

Start by describing the issue. We will recommend the right support format and confirm the expected scope before work begins. If the situation changes during the session, you will be asked before any additional work moves ahead.

Where does LP Tech provide in-person support?

LP Tech provides in-home and on-site support across Ottawa and nearby communities. Include your neighbourhood or postal-code prefix in your request so we can confirm whether in-person support is a suitable option for your location and issue.

What should I include in my support request?

Describe what you notice, the device or service involved, when the issue started if you know, and what you were trying to do. You can also include your area and preferred support format. Do not include passwords, banking details, verification codes, or other sensitive information.
